ABOUT US
We are TICA registered and breed the highest quality healthy and happy kittens. We breed two or maybe three litters of beautiful Bengal kittens each year.
This is our first website and still in development (by us) so please excuse any errors or glitches. All feedback is welcome and look out for Juan's blog coming soon, while we get our House of Bellator in order please check out our Facebook page Bellator Bengals.
BELLATOR KITTENS
All kittens are reared in our home and our priority is to produce cats that are well socialised, with superb temperaments and of course are stunning examples of the breed. All our kittens will be registered. All our cats are PRA-B and PK-DEF negative.
Our little leopards are very intelligent, loving and will develop a relationship with their new owners similar to dogs without the time commitment that goes with keeping dogs.

KIMORA

Kimora is most definitely the boss, she will even try and teach our other girls how to be the perfect Mother.
Kimora is a big handsome girl but she has the swerves and curves to match her beautiful pancaked rosettes. Kimora came to us from the famous Bengal breeders Blue Lagoon - April & Lisa, we are forever in your debt.

We breed bengals because we love the entire experience. Cat welfare is our priority and we remain small because we don't want to lose the excitement of each new litter and expanding our growing community of adoptee families.
We are decidedly different from most cat breeders and we will proudly stay this way

PREPARING FOR YOUR BELLATOR KITTEN
A Comfortable Setting
We will provide complete instructions and support to get you and your new family member settled in. The is simply a rough outline of preparing for the arrival, and introductions

BEFORE ARRIVAL
Your bengal is a very special kitten. And should be considered just like a newborn baby. It is wise to be prepared for his/her arrival. Your kitten will initially need to have a room he/she can call their own when he/she first arrives. Your kitten needs to establish his/her safe place to hide if they feel the need. Remember to take a suitable bengal approved cat carrier with you .
Nominate the first room your kitten will be placed into. Clear this of any strings or cables he/she can get tangled in. Be careful to remove any poisonous plants. Place his/her food, water fountain, bed, litter tray(s) and toys in this room. You should now be ready to have him/her home. You need to exclude your established pets from this room, until your new kitten has found his/her confidence. Let him/her get adjusted to this room, before proceeding with any more introductions to new rooms or animals. Limit the number of visitors in the first few days, until your kitten has had a chance to find all the hiding places around the house in case of fear or distress.

FOOD, WATER & CAT LITTER
Give your kitten the diet you were provided with on collection. Make sure there is plenty of fresh water. Only change them onto new foods slowly. Sudden diet changes can result in loose stools . You will probably have had some bedding provided, so make sure you have this in any new bed you would offer the kitten, for comfort.
Make sure the litter box is a new/clean one. Unfamiliar smells will be upsetting and may put him off using the correct place. Your kitten will be litter trained, however, its not unusual for them not to “go” for the first 24-36 hours. They may not eat either, but be careful to ensure they are at least drinking water. If in doubt, measure the water into the bowl, and measure the water loss after 12 hours.

Introducing the rest of the family
Introducing your new kitten onto existing animal residents is crucial, and should be approached slowly and with care. They are just the same as us, taking time to get to know new “people”. Do not be tempted to simply throw them in, even if they seem to respond well at first, doing this will certainly bring long term issues and a breakdown in the relationship. After settling your kitten into the first room, you can slowly introduce them to other rooms, and other animals. Do this initially by taking the new kitten in his/her carrier into a room where the other animals have access. Allow the swapping of scents and any hissing spitting to happen, whilst protecting both from hurting each other. Do this every hour or two for a few minutes each, gradually extending the time to 20 minutes - returning the kitten to his “home” room in between, and re-assuring them with a few cuddles and kind words.
Once they have relaxed and they begin to smell like each other, you can let the kitten out of the box, supervised, and introduce him/her to the new space in the company of the other animal(s). Monitor and continue until all aggressive behaviour has ceased.
BE PATIENT Once they have fallen out, its very hard to get them back to the same place. The longer you spend on this part of their lives, the better friends they will be, and the better the experience for you and your family.
